WORKSHOP AND EVENTS

I run creative workshops and take part in events that bring people together through art, design, and hands-on making. From painting sessions for children to collage workshops for students and community groups, each experience is designed to be engaging, accessible, and a chance to try something new.

WINDRUSH LEGACY

ART EXHIBITION & cultural awareness event

The Windrush Legacy Exhibition, held during London Design Week at Excelsior Studios in Park Royal, celebrated the resilience and cultural impact of the Windrush Generation. As the curator and organiser, I brought together photographs, artwork, historical artifacts, and personal stories, including accounts from the children of the Windrush Generation, capturing their experiences of identity and heritage.

The exhibition was a multi-sensory experience, featuring Caribbean food, live music, and an art showcase of Caribbean artists, creating an immersive tribute to the community’s legacy. More than a reflection on the past, this event honoured the contributions of the Windrush Generation and ensured their stories continue to inspire future generations.

I delivered a series of painting workshops for children under 10 at JTAfrique in Luton Mall. These sessions were designed to be fun, relaxed, and hands-on—giving children the space to explore paint, colour, and creativity in a supportive environment.

The workshops focused on simple techniques, helping the children build confidence while enjoying the process of making art. All materials were provided, and each child took home their finished piece at the end of the session.

I ran a collage workshop for Imperial College STEM students at Excelsior Studios in Park Royal, offering a creative break from their usual academic routine. The session was designed to introduce hands-on creativity through the use of paper sculpting and 3D collage techniques.

Students were encouraged to experiment with layering, texture, and form—using paper as a medium to build sculptural compositions. The workshop provided a relaxed, open space for creative exploration, allowing participants to switch off from technical thinking and tap into a different side of problem-solving through art.

POW Studios Opening Night

Live Drawing EVENT

As part of the opening night at POW Studios, I led a live drawing event where I created quick portraits of guests throughout the evening. Each portrait was then carved into wood in real-time using a CNC machine, blending traditional hand-drawn illustration with digital fabrication.

The experience was interactive and engaging—guests got to take part in the creative process and watch their portraits come to life through a combination of art and technology. It was a fun way to celebrate the opening night, adding a personal, memorable touch to the launch.
